Fingerprints are printing:)

Last Wednesday was our fingerprinting appointment in St. Louis. The appointment was only for my husband and mine was scheduled for today. They tell you to be there at 8 a.m. We waited in line with many different people. We brought our boys and they were so cute about it. They looked at the people and tried to figure out who was from what country. Not really racial profiling just guessing. Most people were there to take their test to become citizens of the U.S.A. Our fingerprinting was so simple and would you believe they went ahead and did mine too!! Thank you God!!
So that is done.
Christy is coming home next week from Africa and I hope that she has some tidbits to tell us about our girls. Maybe our paperwork has even made it to Ethiopia already?! It would be great to see some kind of furthering the process.
People are asking us if we know anything else and it's so boring to keep saying, "It's a process, just waiting, the paperwork is in D.C.(still)...

What will these little hands be? What will they do?

My caution as I dream about this adoption and dwell so much on our girls in a far away country, I was reminded about the precious ones right beside me. I had each boy come and measure their hand next to mine as I tried to freeze frame this moment in time. How very soon they will be putting all that we have taught them into action. And I can't wait for that day and yet I do not want it to come.

USCIS FINGERPRINT APPOINTMENT!!

We got it! It came in the mail yesterday and our appointment is next Wednesday at 8 a.m.
Thank the Lord above!!
So thank you for the understanding and kind words you gave me through my mini melt down!

I can't wait to see what happens next with all this..who knows maybe we will find out that we have a court date. I'd be happy to hear that our papers made it to Ethiopia.

panic turning into promise

Well this I600A has gotten the best of me this week. It really has and I'm ashamed to let you see this side of me. I'm usually a very laid back person but worrying get my best sometimes. As previously stated, I gave gotten a few emails within the week telling me check out the uscis website. Apparently they are 6 months behind schedule. I can't wait 6 months ontop of whatever we initially thought. I mean, I can but I really, really don't want to.

I've sulked this week.

I've called my homestudy lady.

I've emailed other AGCI friends.

And today I broke down and called Christy, my AGCI case mangaer. When she picked up the phone I started out by saying "I'm sad...." and then told her the rest. She let me know it DOESN'T slow down our paperwork process of DC and Ethiopia. She also told me it WON'T cause us much problems as they have ways of contacting congressmen and getting the job done if push comes to shove.

I feel much better. And then, I read other posts. I forget how truly blessed I am. Nearly to the point of spoiled brat status. I'm given much more than I deserve. He called us to this in the very first place, so I have nothing to worry about. I have nothing I can control. I am out of any excuses, complaints, whining, moody, grouchiness.

Hold me accountable won't you? I appreciate it if you would.

USCIS fingerprint delay!

Ahh and arg! Has anyone visited the uscis website and seen the delay in I600a fingerprinting. They are 6 months behind. We haven't even gotten our confirmation on our appointment or that they got our payment. That's some fat cash in money orders for a simple man to grab ahold of.
I'm nearly sick to think that it will be 6 months before we get this done and then we travel.

Please Lord, no!

Mom thoughts..

I've been thinking about the girls's mom lately. Maybe it was because we attended a wedding today and I watched the slideshow thinking "our girls will not have any baby photos to put in their slideshow". But I know they will make wonderful wives and women.

I get to make their mother a scrapbook and fill it with photos of her girls. Photos she has never had and will never have unless I give them to her. What a priveledge! I also get to write her a letter. What do you say! Oh, God give me the words.

I wanna...

show you our little angels faces. I keep wanting to upload these awesome photos and just say, "WOW" and have you agree! Instead I can just sit and tell you they truly are wonderful.

I don't know if it is harder for me to wait or to watch my family wait. It is harder for me to watch them. I just decided. Last night, our oldest came up to me with his build a bear dinosaur. He is squeezing him and says, "this is like 'M', she will be squishy and soft and cute!" Then he went to bed and moaned for her. Literally couldn't go to sleep because of it. I love their love for the girls but it's hard to watch and witness.

Today God blessed us with wonderful weather. It was 65 degrees and sunny and windy. We went for a nature walk and jumped on the trampoline. The girls were here with us, we just couldn't see them. We can feel them and think of them like they are here. Our boys already have their personalities figured out. They try to imagine what they will like in different situations we are in. It is so cute!

They already know that their video game time will be cut short because the girls will want them to play babies and Barbie's. M will want to run and play outside all the time. B is so sweet and smart she will ask "what is 5 x 20?' ..that's what they said!

I'm not sad. I feel very joyful, so I don't want to seem whiney. I'm thankful and blessed. I pray this love stays and grows in us and them. How can we shorten this up in our house? What did you do to pass the time?
